Skype Android Update New Function to Take Photos in Video Calls

Skype continues to receive improvements in the form of updates and it is curious how many of them focus on the platforms of the competition, that is, iOS and Android.

And in this case is how we say, Skype, which benefits from this interest through an update that reaches the application that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The enhancement now allows Android Skype users to take a photo during the execution of a video call .

The new functionality is called “Call Snapshot” which could be translated as “Instant Call”. This is an option that allows users to easily take a photo during the execution of a video call and share it with the person they are talking to.

To do so, a new shortcut appears in the interface in the form of a camera button in the lower left corner that allows you to take a photo that will be displayed on the video call screen and that can be saved in the camera gallery, forwarded, delete it or publish it.

The only requirement to be able to use this new feature is to have a device that makes use of Android 6.0 Marshmallow or a higher version and to be using version 8.14.76.6 of Skype Preview version.
