If you have a trip to the island of the gods, do not miss this post with 10 Must do activities to do and see in Bali.
1. Visit Hindu-Balinese Temples
Among all the temples these 2 are my favorites because they are next to or inside the sea. They are temples of Balinese architecture and Hindu religion, the first being PURA LUHUR ULUWATU, on the top of a cliff in the south of the island.
Here you will also have a presentation of Balinese dances at sunset, you can not miss it!
And the second temple is TANAH LOT, it is built on the top of some rocks in the sea, it can only be accessed when there is low tide.
Pay attention to the sculptures and Balinese architecture, I’m sure you will be delighted with these wonders.
2. Ubud Water Temple
It has its gardens of lotus flowers and a path on a charming bridge with statues that serve as watchers in the form of dragons.
3. Visit a spiritual retreat in Ubud (Anand Ashram)
Remember the experience you have had of massages and aromatherapy, but this time the sounds are all over the room, including the sound of the water from the fountains, the birds and the bells. A perfect place to relax and recharge spiritual energies …
4. Yoga Classes
As in the movie Eat, Pray, Love (Come, pray, love) with Julia Roberts, Bali is the perfect destination to find your balance, feel connected with yourself through yoga and meditation. I leave this link with 14 places to take yoga classes: https://www.thebalibible.com/bali/14-best-yoga-spots-in-and-around-bali
5. Balinese Massages with body exfoliation
You can not miss the incredible Balinese massages. It is an amazing experience! You can choose between traditional Balinese massage, hot stone massage, 4-hand massage, oils and aromatherapy. You can also choose the exfoliation of coffee, Lulur (powder based on green tea).
6. Surf Classes
You will find them all over the island (map below), but the most central one is Kuta beach, there are instructors that you can hire at the moment, you will recognize them because they have their boards in the sand or they will come to offer you classes. Calculate 1 hour at 20 dollars. If you prefer a more formal and trustworthy option, I recommend that you go to a surf school, there you will have more comfort because they let you use their lockers, their dressing rooms, their bathrooms, etc. I recommend ODYSSEY SURF SCHOOL that was the one I tried: https://www.facebook.com/odysseysurfschool/
7. Sunset + cocktails + good music!
Here are my Top 2 recommendations:
ROCK BAR at the Ayana Resort
The Resort is at the top of the mountain, the bar is encrusted on the rocks with the waves crashing (hence the name). The view of the sunset is very good, only that depending on the season there may be a risk of rain or a lot of heat. But that risk is the price one pays for an unforgettable sunset savoring a delicious cocktail😉
Where is? Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/1PLWKX11dAB2
POTATO HEAD Beach Club
It remains on Legian beach, north of Kuta. This bar is very famous and is usually full of foreigners, mostly Australians. They have shallow tables and sofas (beach beds or sun loungers), a free access pool, a resident DJ, the beach in front and the sunset behind. Good cocktails and good food, I recommend the chocolate brownie for dessert👍

8. Exotic Restaurants:
Eat in the crater of a volcano? The Madu Sari restaurant is located right there . Here is the restaurant link: http://www.balimadusari.com/
Pirate restaurant with boat included? https://www.facebook.com/PiratesBayBali/
9. Attending a Balinese Dance Show
They can attend Balinese religious dances, usually in temples or gardens. Here is a good list of places to attend shows: http://balikidsguide.com/7-places-you-can-watch-a-magical-balinese-dance-show/
And they can also attend a show similar to Cirque du Soleil called “Devdan Show” that mix elements of theater, dance and acrobatics. https://www.facebook.com/DevdanShowBali/
10 . Other Activities
Visit elephants, dive in submerged temples for water, or more massages !!
I hope it will inspire you for your next visit to Bali 🙂
